Gateway Business, Employment, Education/Training and Tourism (GBEET) is an amalgamation of three (3) previously independent bodies in the township of Hopetoun, namely:
- The Hopetoun Arts/Crafts Group
- Hopetoun & District Telecentre; and
- Hopetoun & District Education Centre
Gateway BEET is currently residing in the Yarriambiack Shire Council’s building, Hopetoun.
Our staff is permanent part time. Although specializing in their own area of the organisation, each have the ability to handle the multitude of tasks presented to them. The business operates during full office hours. We have a volunteer Board of Management consisting of seven members. The Board meets bi-monthly.
Gateway BEET shall remain committed to a pro-active approach to the identification of community needs. We have a steadfast commitment to the Yarriambiack Shire to ensure we represent them to the best of our ability, and to provide the link between them and our community.
We will remain in tune with our community’s educational requirements and aim to be the first choice provider for their training needs. We represent the community as the Progress and Development planning committee. We consider all suggestions and offers of assistance from our community members. We have and will continue to support Community Health and Active Recreation within our community.
To Provide a range of services that support community education and personal growth, the development of sustainable employment and the provsion of services to support and maintain our local rural communities into the future.
To develop our organization to become the benchmark standard in vibrant sustainable rural community self help programs.
